At Baby Baazaar our aim is to bring thoughtfully designed, eco-friendly children’s products to parents everywhere. Our toys and textiles are sourced and created through small companies and entrepreneurs where creativity, quality, and a low carbon footprint are the main focus. The manufacturing processes provide jobs and livelihood for local artisans and encourages the growth and continuation of their traditional skills and methods. Each product at Baby Baazaar is chosen exclusively for the comfort and development of children from birth through their early school years.
Creator and founder Supriya Himatsingka lives in New York City with her husband and two sons. She graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology with a Bachelors in Textile Design, and earned a Masters in Elementary Education from the Bank Street College of Education. Her experiences with design and teaching have influenced the development and selection of each handmade product. Originally from India, she continues to be inspired by the unique aesthetics and handcrafting abilities of the artisans back home. Over the years, the toys and blankets have been used by her own family. Through Baby Baazaar she hopes to share these special things with parents around the world.
